Ancestor Healing Workshop

As a preparation for Samhain we come into relationship with Ancestors of Blood, Love, and Spirit to heal ancestral burdens and responsibilities we carry in our bodies, hearts, minds, and spirits. With the support of willing ancestors we send this healing to past and future generations to transform these burdens into strengths and resiliencies to carry us through the Dark Forest.

Teacher(s): Seraphina and Bridgid

What to bring: tools for journaling (journal, paper, pens, art, pplies), water, a grounding snack, a candle and pictures of ancestors (human, animal, plant, etc) to begin or add to an ancestor altar if desired.

About Seraphina & Bridgid:

Seraphina Capranos: I am a PlantWitch and 3rd generation healer passionate about wild earth magic and witching our world awake through ancestral healing, social justice and sacred sexuality. I spent 10 years in an intensive Toltec apprenticeship that radically shifted the way I see reality helping facilitate a pathway towards a more awakened way of living. One of my greatest joys in life is exploring unknown territory with other witchy folk through wild singing, drumming, trance, and radical acts of shifting consciousness through community healing. I live on unceded indigenous territory of the WSANEC and Quw’ut’sun Nations on a small island in the Salish Sea in Canada now called Salt Spring Island.

Bridgid McGowan: I am a white settler Queer Femme from working-class Irish and Scottish folk. I was born on the territory of the Peskotomuhkati (in colonially named New Brunswick), and am deeply grateful to live on the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations in colonially named Vancouver. I came to Reclaiming in 1987, and have studied, priestessed, and taught magic classes and workshops in a number of communities and at Witch Camps. Through magic, art and my work as a counsellor I love engaging in and facilitating others to discover our own capacities to heal, change, be embodied, and be in just relationship with ourselves, community, and all living beings.
