Payments

To make a payment please submit it through Zeffy.

The Zeffy platform is free to us as a nonprofit. That means $100 from you is directly $100 to us. The way their business works is they add an optional percentage to your payment that helps cover their costs. You are able to change this to $0.00 by clicking on  the suggested donation in your Order Summary (where it says “Help keep Zeffy free for Witch Camp of BC Society 💜 (optional)”) and selecting “Other”. However, this is a worthwhile Canadian organization to support (again, giving us this service for free), so if you can spare a few bucks for them I would encourage it.

Schedule

We will be collecting fees in two phases. Our first deadline is May 1, 2026 when we have to pay a deposit to Evans Lake of half the total cost. The second is September 21, 2026 when we will pay the remainder.

On completion of your registration you will be asked to submit your first payment. This can either be your full deposit or the first $100 installment. If you have requested a special diet the additional fee will be added to this payment. Your registration is not complete until this first payment is received.

Any remainder of the deposit will be paid in monthly $100 installments by May 1, 2026. We acknowledge that this is a long time before camp actually happens, so prior to May 1 a refund can be requested at any time.

After May 1 your remaining balance can be paid in a lump sum or in monthly installments of $110. This is due by September 21, 2026. During this period we ask that you find someone else to take your spot in order to get refunded. We will have already sent your deposit to Evans Lake and any refunds will come out of our limited operational funds.

After September 21 refunds will only be issued in extenuating circumstances that prevent you from coming to camp at the last minute such as getting COVID or a death in the family.

Tiers

The price for camp is on a sliding scale with five steps. The Sustaining Tier step represents the full cost of camp. The two Abundance Tier steps include an additional contribution that supports scholarships and camp as a whole. The two Accessibility Tier steps include built-in scholarships. Our scholarship fund is finite, but we will do our best to ensure everyone can attend.

Please read the tier descriptions below and choose an amount that best reflects your circumstances. We do not require any documentation or explanation—this is an invitation to reflect with honesty and integrity.

If none of these levels make camp accessible to you, please reach out — we may have additional support available.

Americans: these prices are all in Canadian dollars. The exchange rate is currently very much in favour of American currency, so please consider going up a step if you are able.

Abundance Tier

– $1,260 total | Deposit: $600 | Includes $420 Donation

– $1,050 total | Deposit: $500 | Includes $210 Donation

Choose one of these rates if you:

  • Have access to financial security, savings, or generational wealth
  • Own property or have investments
  • Have discretionary income for travel, dining out, or wellness experiences
  • Want to support wider accessibility by helping to subsidize others

This tier helps ensure camp’s sustainability and allows us to offer lower-cost spots for others.

Sustaining Tier

– $840 total | Deposit: $400 | Base Price

Choose this rate if you:

  • Can comfortably meet your basic needs (housing, food, healthcare)
  • Have some expendable income and can afford occasional extras
  • Want to pay a fair rate that covers your share of camp costs

This is the true cost of camp — what we would charge everyone if equity were not a priority.

Accessibility Tier

– $630 total | Deposit: $300 | Includes $210 Scholarship

– $420 total | Deposit: $200 | Includes $420 Scholarship

Choose one of these rates if you:

  • Experience financial hardship or uncertainty
  • Are low-income, underemployed, or navigating systemic barriers to wealth
  • Would be unable to attend the retreat without this reduced rate

This tier is made possible through the community care of others paying at higher levels and relies on scholarship funds collected over the years. We’re glad you’re here.
